Neurofeedback
HOPE Recovery Resources now offers brain training technology using NeurOptimal® non-linear neurofeedback!
What is NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback training for the brain is similar to physical training for the body. Much of our suffering comes from pervasive thoughts and feelings in which our minds become “stuck”. Neurofeedback prompts the brain to draw from its existing resources and pull itself out of these mental “ruts”. The result is a more positive mindset in which life feels more manageable.
Based on advanced technology, non-linear neurofeedback is 100% non-invasive and helps the brain to achieve optimal functioning. Whether one struggles with managing stress, sleep hygiene, or focus and motivation neurofeedback can help the brain reorganize itself and return to more efficient and effective functioning. NeurOptimal® harnesses your brain’s own power to experience the joy of deeper sleep, improved focus and concentration, self-confidence, and an increased sense of calm!
Non-linear neurofeedback can be helpful for anyone wishing to achieve more mental clarity, motivation, and emotional and physical resilience. Research suggests it may be helpful in living well while recovering from substance abuse and/or mental health issues. How Does it Work?
Two tiny sensors are applied to the scalp and clips are applied to the ears. Listen to music, sit back and relax during the 33.5-minute session while your brain learns!
NeurOptimal® is designed to give the brain information about itself and how it’s functioning. During the training session, NeurOptimal® monitors and detects 256 electrical pulses per second. It’s from that information that the system provides “feedback” to the brain through brief pauses or interrupts in the sound. The brain is then able to adapt its response to this new information and make changes as it needs to in order to form new, more effective patterns.
